Humboldt Local Food Month celebrates our county’s local food, farmers, and abundance throughout September. For the complete schedule of events, visit their website. Right here in Fortuna, you’ll find the Farmers’ Market every Tuesday afternoon. You’ll find bountiful fruits, vegetables, herbs, tamales, and more, but guests shouldn’t overlook make your own bouquets, nursery stock, soaps, lotions, woolen items, and even jewelry for sale. All items are locally grown or created, of course! Every week a winner receives a “bounty basket” of free, locally-grown produce. Visit during September and you’ll enjoy these great musicians as well:
