Updated Policies 6/16/2021 – Based on our updated policies we have been cleared by Humboldt County Health to open to all guests.  We look forward to welcoming you back to The Redwood.

We were always clean, and in the face of the coronavirus, we’re enhancing our procedures for your safety. You should have confidence when you book a stay at our hotel that we are doing everything we can to have accommodations ready for you. We are closely monitoring the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and local health agencies for the latest developments related to COVID-19 and following the guidance of government and public health officials. We are reinforcing these agencies’ recommendations on the appropriate health and safety measures with The Redwood and our team.

Q: What is Happening In The Lobby?

  • Lobby is open 24 hours daily
  • Coffee is always available and served on request
  • Outside seating always available
  • All key cards sanitized between uses
  • Our staff has been given gloves & masks
  • Hand sanitizer available for use at the front desk and in common areas
  • The lobby is sanitized multiple time per day
  • Plexiglass divider at the front desk

Q: How Are We Cleaning The Rooms?

  • Doors and handles sanitized daily
  • All paper signage has been removed
  • We us an ozonated water system to safely sanitize your room and contents, click here for details on the Tersano cleaning system
  • All linens are dried at 200℉ for sanitization
  • All exterior common areas sanitized daily
  • Extra linens & pillows have been removed and we can deliver to your room upon request
  • Housekeeping service will not enter your room while you are present and we will offer service for guests staying two nights or more
  • Please let us know of any issues, concerns

Q: What is Food Service in the TR Canteen?

  • Breakfast service daily, 6 am – 9:30 am, list of available breakfast item are provided at check-in
  • Place your breakfast  order with our front desk team by 11 pm, the night before your service
  • To-go breakfast: brown bag breakfast you can eat wherever you like.  In-house breakfast: can be eaten outside or in your room
  • Additional breakfast items available for purchase, breakfast sandwiches!
  • Outdoor seating available
  • When preparing your food we always wear gloves and masks to ensure your safety and our teams
  • Our kitchen is sanitized multiple times each day and during service

Q: Can You Get Food and Drinks in the Snack Shack?

  • Snacks for purchase in the lobby include hot foods & drinks!
  • Local beer & California wine for purchase to enjoy during your stay
  • Coffee & tea available on request
  • Fruit-infused water is free in the lobby

Q: Can I Buy Local Items in the TR Mercantile?

  • Local items available for purchase
  • Tote bags, pens & mugs, oh my!
  • Need a distraction or to relax? Books and puzzles, too

  • The pool is currently open

  • Free books in the lobby… sanitized between bibliophiles! And you’re always welcome to take any book on the road with you
